The Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure was established by the American Public Works Association (APWA), the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC).The Envision Sustainable Infrastructure Framework is a comprehensive tool developed by ISI to support infrastructure professionals in planning, designing, and delivering sustainable infrastructure projects of all types and sizes. This framework serves as a decision-making tool that enables infrastructure owners, engineers, designers, architects, planners, contractors, and other stakeholders to evaluate projects across various sustainability indicators, or "credits," that address environmental, social, and economic dimensions of sustainability, fostering systemic change. At its core, Envision aims to support higher performance through better choices in infrastructure development.
